Please join me on Friday June 4th at the Andenken Gallery between 6:00 and 10:00 pm for Special Materials: Andenken Summer Group Show #5.
I will be showing five panels of a massive collaboration project of 50+ artists from around the country. From the official announcement:
2 Projects / Programs are being created for this unique show.
:: Project / Program 1 8 Grids have been created. Each grid contains approximately 40 randomly sized "segments". The segments have been distributed to over 50 artists nation wide. Once complete, these artists return their segments and reassemble them into the original grid pattern.
:: Project / Program 2 Still remaining are about 50 "unused" segments. These segments will be completed by artists during the opening on Friday June 4th, beginning at 7 pm and carrying on until complete. Artists from the public are welcome to participate in this portion of the project. Some materials will be supplied by Andenken Gallery, artists are also encouraged to bring their own "special materials".
:: Also, during the opening the sculpture will be created for the show out of found objects and gathered materials from participating artists.
