Bonjour tout le monde!

This is a infrequent email update about http://justinsimoni.com and Justin Simoni (erm, me.). If getting email messages ain't your thing, you can also follow the new blog:

I've been given an amazing opportunity to travel to France (again!) and stay for a couple months in the Latin Quarter in Paris to live in this most amazing city and try to make my way, while keeping up with my art, my writing and photography. Being an absolute fan of language and writing, this will be a wonderful opportunity to again study another language and all of it's little surprises.

Couldn't be more excited.

To celebrate this little trip and to help raise some scratch for bringing (of course) the bicycle with me, I'm reprinting the Dirty Fake French Velo t-shirts, I made last summer -

They're going for $15 each (and that includes shipping). I'll be printing each and every t-shirt by hand and the design is all mine as well. Sound like a good deal?

Here's the order page, with more information, like sizing stuff, colors - things like that:

Please be sure to order as soon as you can, as I'm leaving next week! Yeah!

There's also a few prints for sale from the, "Emotional Response" show that are still available:

as well as a print I did for the Illiterate Magazine's CMYK+RGB show. You'll have to go to the wonderful Illiterate Site for that:

Other than my own little romps through this wonderful and magical and fragile world of ours, I wanted everyone here to know about my Studio mate's project for Denver's Biennial that's happening next year:

Laurie Lynnxe Murphy is looking for help for her publicly funded art installation. Here's the information on that:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lynnxe/strange-fruit-a-publicly-funded-public-art-instal

She says,

"In the summer of 2010, Denver will be launching the first Biennial of the Americas, with artistic director Bruce Mau. (For more information go to http://ingoodwetrust2010.com). As of Sept, 2009, its still unclear whether any funding will be available through the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs for local artists installations, with only 9 months to go until the biennial opens. I believe the people of Denver want their homegrown talent to have a chance to shine alongside artists from around the world. I believe that its time for artists to take matters into their own hands. Which is why Im asking for your help."

This is big time stuff. This is very very exciting. And I hope, if you can, you can help out someone as amazing as Laurie with what I'm sure will be an incredible public art installation.

Thanks for reading. If you're in Paris, well let me know and we'll get some coffee and go on some bike rides!
